Hey Folks- I caught RR last summer with the Word, so I fairly familiar with his pedal steel sound. Anyways I caught him last weekend at the Paradise in Boston. I was BLOWN away! Lots more room for him to jam out with his Family Band. Grate vibe from the stage, infectious jams, and piercing steel solos. Be sure to catch him when you can, you will not regret it!

Hey ya smelly old hippie...my friends from NC have checked this fest out... Mind you the last few years have been more of a bluegrass festival, this year is more jamband oriented. If its any where as laid back as the Rockinham NC SCI fest shows from last summer it should be GRATE!

Another grate festival this summer will be Smilefest in N.C. Very low-key fest, no hassles lots of phun. Some acts so far are...SKB,KDTU,Bela Fleck and the Flecktones,Sam Bush,Vassar Clements,Keller Williams. I'll probably fly down and hook up with friends in Charlotte! www.smilefest.com

Son Seals played the camp stage at Camp Oswego a few years ago, then jammed on Funky Bitch with Phish on the mainstage. He's worth checking out!

July 4th and SKB! Nice combo. I caught a smoking DBL bill last week in Worcester with SKB and Derek Trucks. Alphonso Johnson is back on bass for Kimock. Great Stuff!
