After a weekend of honing my skills on bouche's banjo (thanks Mike!), I'm jonesing for my very own 5-string wonder...

Question is - anybody know of any pawn shops around Ottawa where I might be able to find a decent and CHEAP banjo???

Big Sugar used to play Kingston 5 or 6 times a year in the mid-90s (we even got them for private party one time!). They were really good up until the point that Much Music noticed them...

I saw them for the first time in a few years at last year's Tulip Fest. In that case too, the show was saved by jamming with the Big Wreck guitarist.

The News...

Ferriswheeler is parting ways with singer Jocelyn Vernon. Our final show together will be this Wednesday, May 15 at Babylon (Bank St., Ottawa) with Ottawa's After The Troops Leave. Joce has been a big part of our success thus far, and we wish her luck and peace with all her endeavours.

Never fear, the wheel rolls on! Stay tuned, we'll be debuting something new in the very near future (don't make any plans for after Canada Day Fireworks).

Come out and rock with the old line-up one more time on Wed. night (we're starting around 10 pm)

They played Poor Heart in Game 3 of the Philly series too... and actually there was a considerable amount of Dead played in intermissions throughout the season... must be a head in the music dept!
