  1. I'm kinda pissed this tour isn't coming near me. And I'm interested to hear who is going to be in the band.

"hello friends! i have put together a special band of some of my oldest pals to help bring this album to life on the road! we are very excited about it and cant wait to bring it to light! see ya out on the open road!"
  2. I was surprised to find this sold out when I arrived at show time last night. I saw the Walkmen in a smaller venue 2 years ago and it was far from sold out. Waited about 20 minutes out front before finding an extra, so I miss almost half of the Misty set. They were full band and full of awesomeness. Really enjoyed what I saw of their set.

Walkmen were great too. Especially the new songs, which means I should really revisit their latest release.

  3. Highlight for me this year was Divine Fits at the tiny Il Motore as an Osheaga after-party, followed by Tame Impala's set at Osheaga itself.

Other memorable shows were Springsteen at Scotiabank Place, Radiohead at Bell Centre and the couple times I saw the Wooden Sky.

Probably the most intense (but not necessarily great) show I experienced was the Tim Hecker and Stephen O'Malley (Sunn o)))) drone-fest at St. James United Church as part of MUTEK.

  4. Top 5:

Wooden Sky – Every Child A Daughter, Every Moon A Sun

    El-P – Cure 4 Cancer

    Tame Impala – Lonerism

    Grizzly Bear – Shields

Father John Misty – Fear Fun

    Other good stuff:

    METZ - METZ

Divine Fits – A Thing Called Divine Fits

Eric Chenaux – Guitar & Voice

Dirty Projectors - Swing Lo Magellan

    Sharon Van Etten – Tramp

    Lord Huron – Lonesome Dreams

Beachwood Sparks - The Tarnished Gold

    The jury's still out on:

Grimes - Visions (it's either genius or garbage, I've given up trying to decide which)

    Best single:

whatever the name of that Japandroids song is...

WHEN THEY LOVE YOU AND THEY WILL, TELL THEM ALL THEY'LL LOVE IN MY SHADOW

IF THEY TRY TO SLOW YOU DOWN, TELL EM ALL TO GO TO HELL

    runner-up: Haim - Forever

  5. Did anyone else notice fake Eddie Vedder before he actually came out? Was it him or just a rock god body double?

I read that Vedder would be singing with Waters so I tuned in and for a few seconds I watched and I thought to myself' date=' wow, I have not seen what Eddie Vedder looks like in a long time, and in HD he looks kinda like Tigger. Then the real Eddie came out. haha :bonghit: [/quote']

This was amazing. I thought there was a Hebner brothers screw job going on or something.
