  1. dave matthews is a stupid douchebag turd and i would enjoy seeing him get kicked in the balls. okay, maybe not in real life, but if someone were to make a kick dave matthews in the balls video game, i would laugh maniacally and play for hours! and then i would cheer until my voice was hoarse!

and justin timberlake is actually kind of awesome in a pipsqueak sort of way. i'd take sexyback over the frat boy tailgate party poo dumping garbage boredom that is turd matthews any day.

and though i haven't heard bjork's new single, she rules too, so i can believe it is good. i heard she's a fuckin' crazy ass psycho bitch in real life, but she's got style. point!

    NONSENSE!

  2. terribly disappointing ... I leave you kids alone for an hour and this is the trouble y'all get up to? im beginning to think it's not worth the price of a sitter anymore. i think it may be just about time to bust out uncle zero to raise a little hell around here ...

btw, its caramel, not toffee ;)

  3. come on! who's looking to mix it up today? ;)

maybe religion? or gas prices? or ... gasp ... music?

I'll offer this up for now: Justin Timberlake is a much better singer than Dave Matthews, and Bjork's new single, Earth Intruders, is really good.

Let me know what you decide. Im going for lunch. :D

  4. agreed. pick one "network" and go with that. im not so sure wikipedia is a social network, nor is youtube. only facebook would seem to be an actual network, in my mind.

i did some work on this years ago - check out the original CMC lit, like "cybersociety" by steve jones and "life on the screen" by sherry turkle, to concretely frame your approach. and dont forget the classic power in social network stuff like Mill's "power elite" and Porter's "vertical mosaic".

neat stuff. looks like fun. :D

  5. we have satellite radios that have FM transmitters built in. the signal can easily be picked up by the FM tuner in the car ... except when you are in a city that happens to have an FM station transmitting on the same frequency (i.e, we tune to 88.1 or 87.9), or when someone else with an FM transmitter (closely tuned) drives by. i know that for some modular satellite radios, they make a device that connects from the base directly to the FM-in on the car radio tuner and temporarily turns off the car's FM antenna to avoid picking up (being overpowered by) local radio stations. when the satellite radio is off, the bypass is inactive and the car's FM antenna works as normal.

your issue is different in that your iPod will probably power the transmitter (possible big drain) and it really cannot be directly wired to your car's radio. also, check to see that you can tune the FM frequency, so oyu can "broadcast" on one that is not already used in your area.

most FM transmitters of this sort will work at distances between 50 and 300ft. or, buy a new car that has an input jack in the dash or console for your iPod. the new corvette has it ;)
