so true, ogling is much better heard on a sbd/aud matrix or a straight aud. i have some great old Dead tapes just full of ogling - mostly at spinners. 1978 to 1982 saw some of the best ogling sets. i like to throw them on when im jonesin' for a good ogle.
-
so, at what point in the recording does the oggling begin? its like its Altamont, all over again, man.

i called the City of Guelph a few years ago and asked if they did this ... she seemed confused, said no, but did tell me they offer rebates on low flow toilets.
kudo's to the hammer!
we just bought a couple of small fruit trees. i hope the bees are still around when they are big enough for peaches and cherries.

I still think Johnny Marr is a tool. He seems like a total prima donna and isn't part of a band so much as the guy in front of one. I just think that's so lame.
were you even at the show? marr was not a tool in any way.
he also signed autographs after the show - hardly a prima donna.
edit ... oh yeah, have you ever heard of a band called the Rolling Stones?

Johnny Marr was really getting into it near the end.
worth the price of admission just to see him. he's Johnny F'ing Marr!!
i really enjoyed the show, but I agree, it was a bit underwhelming and short. (having seen morrissey so many times, ive come to expect underwhelming one-hour long shows.) the sound was decent enough, maybe a bit too durgy, but not a disaster like vancouver. they played well, i thot. i actually really like the singer's voice, but just kept hoping Marr would break into how soon is now
there was an opener - love like laughter - or something like that. from brooklyn, he said.
overall, im glad i went, but won't count it in my top 100. let's hope that the upcoming lcd soundsystem and ! ! ! shows are a bit better.

I have a framed copy of the Charter hanging on the wall behind my desk.
when i feng shui'd my office a few years ago, I read that it was good to put a picture of a mountain behind you - something solid and permanent - to ground the space, and give yourself a solid foundation.
i chose the metaphoric route rather than the literal, and I always feel like I have something very solid behind me.
(although, truth be told, I'd much rather have the fully signed copy that the Dean has instead.)

not at all, but it keeps 6 or 7 cars out of a landfill

Leasing is fine until you get into an accident. At that point, you are screwed
thats true. make sure you check for "gap insurance" too. its insurance on the immediate depreciation as soon as you drive that "brand spanking new" $20,000 car off the lot. you put even one kilometer on the car and its now "used" and only worth $18,000. the worst possible situation is to get into an accident on the way home from the dealer. insurance will pay you only $18,000 for your "used" car, but you still owe $20,000.
-
My question is this: In this lease situation, are you meant to negotiate the lease value? I have asked the salesman and he has said no but you can imagine my skepticism.
by "value", I assume you mean monthly payment? ... everything is open to negotiation. the company may have a "fair price" policy whereby they do not negotiate. but then you'd 'negotiate' on extra's rather than the price itself, like floor mats, tinting, etc. go in armed with lots of data from other places before you sign, though. the unlimted kilometers sounds like a really great deal, but make sure they arent gonna ding you later for "over-use" when you bring it back, or a higher interest rate or whatever. check out the manufacturer websites - they have lease calculators which will provide some comparison pricing.

so true, Groove Fetish. Ween shows are more than concerts, they are experiences. especicially great when Gene gets all bug-eyed, and his forehead veins start throbbing.
