  1. Setlist?

That looks like it was fun. Did Guigsy go?

fuckin' right guigsy went! front and center' date=' with a fodora and a wicked blazer. ;)

dude, i almost called you from the highway until i realized what day and time it was, hahah.

setlist was almost entirely new songs... except for everything must go, a tune off the first smmd album that i cant quite place the name of at the moment, sean and mine's Fat King of Gods request that got through, and maybe a couple others.

Gordo joined in on the encore, for 19th nervous breakdown, which was preceeded by a wicked acapella number that brad really tore into.

all you need to know about the fun we had is taylor cannonballing into the hot tub at 4am, fully clothed. 'nuff said.

re: the slip being dead - it didnt look promising when sean asked brad about upcoming shows and he gave the old tight clenched slow shake of the head "no". but i'd say its a safer bet that we'll see more surprise me in the future. there was an allusion to an album and a tour following high sierra. fingers crossed.[/quote']

Did you happen to take my napsack along with that priceless little t-shirt?

  2. As for camping up the Bruce, we have done a little bit of that. Not too many places, as we usually just stay at the cottage and venture our (e.g. hike, boat, etc.) from there.

But as Scottie mentioned, Cyprus Lake is indeed beautiful. However, it can get pretty busy during peak season. Hiking to the grotto is something that everyone should do at least once! All the trails that include and connect to the Bruce Trail are a great trek.

We have camped at Cape Croker which is a native reserve just north of Wiarton. It too is located along the escarpment overlooking Georgian Bay. We have been there twice, and in our experience it is far less busy than provincial parks and is just as nice. Great hiking, boating, swimming (although the georgian is a little chilly), and fairly private sites, especially when they are not full. I'd recommend checking this place out for sure if you're doing any car camping.

Definetely check out The Tub. Absolutely beautiful. A must see for sure. Walters Falls is fairly neat, and if you head to the top of Mountain Rd. on Blue Mountain you can look down on the town of Collingwood and see that the street lights of the town were originally placed to spell COLLINGWOOD. Pretty cool actually.

  3. I figure that the ability of an author to make the reader feel very strongly (either good or bad) about a character is the sign of a very well-written novel. Personally, I can think of few literary characters I would be more eager to strangle than Holden Caulfield. He's a complete twerp.

Well put my friend. Holden Caulfield is one of the most effective characters in literature. Whether, it be American or Non.

Bye Da Bye, wareds dem udder otters like Aldous Huxley, ind George Orwell n dis tread?

  4. Reading:

Touching The Void - A True story

It a mountain climing story and it's great.

I watched a documentary on CBC a couple years back with that exact same title. It was very well done. Therefore, the book must be better. I'll go on the hunt.

  5. anyone tried Hockley's stout?

    lovely stuff

I grew up in and around the Hockley Valley. It's a damn good stout for sure. Nice and bitter. Try a Beamish if you get a chance it's also a tasty beverage.

  6. I am no Kanada Kev. What I have read of his posts I've found that his cynisism far exceeds that of mine. You could say it's similar to the relationship between Alfredsson and Spezza.

Jason: "Hey Dan, can you teach me how to have a fantastic regular season and choke in the first round of the playoffs? Pretty please."

Daniel: "Well Spezz, you lil playmaker you, it takes alot of gull. But always keep one thing in mind. The owners are the only ones that profit from the playoffs our salaries finished at the end of the regular season. So fuck up in the first round and that leaves you all the time for endorsing shitty products. It's a win win situation."

  7. Early Monday evening, I saw a few young go-getters marching down Rideau St. all decked out in sens paraphenila. Being a rather laid back modest fella, I just didn't have the heart to tell them the reality of it all.

However, they were young and naive.

    SAWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

Just turn off your televisions and all of your lights and have a few hours for planet earth. Why waste your time and precious energy for the inevitable bitter taste of shameful defeat and embarassment?

Please....Think Of The Children! They are the future. Maybe there's a little Crosby or Ovechkin floating out there in Ottawa. Spare the energy so he can put on his skates and be proud one day.

  8. Any one else home cause of the weather?

I'd rather have had snow' date=' but the soil/grass seed mix I spread on bare spots last night will love this weather (I hope). [/quote']

Great time to throw down grass seed. Good job on that phish taper. The only better time of year is in the fall just before the snow hits.

I was hanging off the Bell building in the rain on Friday cleaning windows. Cold Rain and Snow 150ft. in the air. I'm getting a new job, eff this.

Off to finish up the outside of a new Good Life fitness in about an hour then I'm coming home, 'havinbeers', listening to tunes, and doing my own windows.
