  1. Same campsites!! Last years were great :)

We're aiming for the campsite we had the year before last, but if not there, we'll be along that same road somewhere! Right on the outskirts of the vortex, not too far in.. ;)

I'm already conjuring up some fun for Wonderland.. There will be short shorts involved of course... :)

  2. Schwa, there is nothing I would rather do this July 4th weekend than get lost in the vortex with you!

The VORTEX? I thought I warned you about that! ;)

I'm way too excited about this! We're planning on getting there the Saturday before (June 27)! I'm so excited to see y'all again this year!

    Mark, I'm already scheduling Dance-off #2.. ;):)

  3. Excited for this Saturday! Yet another reason I love this city!

"The event sponsors ask that the citizens of Asheville celebrate themselves. Rejoice in their consistent choice to support local economy. Take pride in devoting themselves to enjoying locally produced food, beer, and products, and forever continue to support locally promoted and produced music. This is a free event of true quality, given to the patrons of Asheville. Why? "Just Because You're Asheville."

  4. Hey y'all! Haven't been around lately, but decided to drop in and say hello and share some pictures!

It's just turning into autumn here, and things are sure looking beautiful! We took a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and we found more reasons to love it here!

The trees were super bright in the higher elevations!

We went up to Mount Mitchell , which is the highest point east of the Mississippi.. It was hella cold, but super beautiful! We had a lot of fun exploring the forest!

And here's my favorite fall picture of the Asheville area.. (we didn't take this one!)

It's quite an amazing place! :)

  5. I've gone to NYC a few NYE's in a row a few years back, but one year I stayed in the city for a crazy expensive price, but the years after I've stayed in New Haven, Connecticut, which is about 1 1/2 - 2 hours from the city, but hotels are cheaper.. We took the train in and was dropped off right at Grand Central and round trip was only like $15, and the trains ran all night (only on NYE).. (And it was quite the crazy party on the train on the way back!)

    :)

  6. Hey, I didn't see Rich on that last list of suspects attending ... will he be there???? I know the hot dog suit won't :(

Rich will surely be there, top hat and all! He's riding with us, and we'll be there around 2-3 am Thursday night (Friday morning), so I'm sure we'll see ya Friday!!

    Woooooooo!!!!:D

  7. We've gotta stock up on some more glow sticks ...

That won't be necessary.. I'm not going to say how many my friend is bringing because it might start up another glowstick debate, but let's just say you and your kids will be covered in that department! Oh and I got your kids a few glowy toys, too!

  8. Sounds like breakfast and dinner...will rich be wearing the hotdog suit?? By the way when I chose my avitar, I thought of being trampled by turtles. At least if I have to be trampled, I would rather have it be a bunch of foot-stompin', guitar playin' turtles!!

No hotdog suit this year! Someone stole it!

But plenty of turtle tramplin' I'm sure!

Can't wait to see ya there! Pennsyltucky reunites!

  9. Tigger and I will be getting there wednesday in the early afternoon...taking a bag o buzz with us to donate to the cause. We will be looking for a spot close to or the same as where we were last year. Look for the purple hammock!!!!

    Woooooooooo Becky!!!!!!

So another bag o buzz, eh? I think that'd probably be about 4 total.. 4 bags for 3 nights? Sounds about right!

  10. Totally can't wait! Baj and I started getting things together this weekend, and we just wanted to drive on up already!

We're leaving Thursday after work and should be getting to the magical Ledges around 2-3 am! Our friends from Kentucky are holding us a spot, so stop by Wonderland early Friday for bag o buzz breakfast!

  11. WoooooHoooooo Kanada Kev!!! Rich, Baj and I toasted ya last night while watching Woodstock, getting excited and ready for Gratefulfest!!

Can't wait to see all of ya!

Sadly we don't have the hotdog costume this year, it was stolen from Rich awhile back.. But bring your costumes cause we hope to have a Carnival Parade!

  12. Still working on getting back to NLQP. Hopefully we can pack up the van and head down on Thursday morning. Keeping my fingers, toes and eyes crossed :)

I already know that we'll see ya there! ;)

Baj, Rich, and I are heading down Thursday afternoon after work, so we'll be getting there sometime in the latenight range that night. Our friends from Kentucky are hopefully holding us a spot with them..

As for another sweet surprise soundcheck this year, Rob Eaton confirmed that they will NOT be surprising us again because they won't be arriving at the Ledges until Friday afternoon.. Which is good for me because I would be super pissed if I missed it! Ha!
