All About Jazz - Ottawa show review:
-
It was indeed an incredible show last night - best I've seen/heard McLaughlin.
Tremendous interplay by all over some complex material - badass players, all.
You can tell they've had this on the road for a bit... Really firing on all cylinders. Intense, but moments of real subtlety too.
Awesome!

There are lots of tix still available for the Ottawa show. While retailers may not have a ton on hand, there's plenty left according to the OIJF.

From Adrian at Tetra Speakers:
Hi All,
The Saturday night House Concert at JACK's house with Francis is now almost fully booked. For the first time ever Francis has agreed to add a second
night. We now have Friday the 28th to add to the fun. If you have any friends that might be interested please pass this on. And check out the 2 Canadian flags here... http://www.francisdunnery.com/concerts.php
Note that Francis will have a merchandise table (believe me, your going to want some CDs at least) and that all the proceeds from merchandise and
tickets sales go directly to Francis. JACK is putting this on because we love you and we love Francis too!
Reservations: 613/226-3550, adrian.butts@tetraspeakers.com
Tix: $30
Hope you can make it,
JACK (Jena, Adrian, Cameron, and Katie)
More Francis here...

ggrrr, we are out of the country on the 12th. Wayne, do you do this on purpose?
Stay home once in a while, huh?

rwe333, I insist on beers after the show.
WooHoo! I'm in!!
...and, yeah, tix left - ignore the Ticketmaster ordering glitch (but - man! - how many sales has the JazzFest lost due to this?)
-
Thanks Velvet!
-
Bump - I'm looking forward to this...
-
Thanks a ton, Brad.
Was just gonna post this...

D'oh! Of course - more coffee, please.
'nother vote for Crown Royal...

I like Aberlour: http://www.aberlour.co.uk/
-
Paul Rodgers - better than ever.

It is a biggie to old fans. Mimic isn't duplication. Anthony also brought in an attitute that can't be replaced by a teenager.
At least the audience won't have to sit through MA's 'bass solo', Ode to a Flanger.
-
Happy Birthday, mate.

as this seems to slowly be turning into a Bradm appreciation thread let me be the first to note that people generally tease/wind up others around these parts only when they think that the teasee can take it
congratulations (and thanks) to Bradm
[color:#cccccc]I think I'm going to cry
Yeah, I get that (& I'm pretty new 'round here).
Still, thought props in order.

wow. offer to do someone a favour and the masses jump down your throat. hey brad, next few uploads, intentionally normalize at -30db and make these ingrates think something's wrong with their cheap G.E. boomboxes.
Man, I have kickass demos of at least two of my projects thanks to bradm's 'taping' efforts.
So, big kudos & thanks here.

Cool Motown band at the Rainbow tonight (Moetown) - well, at least the male vocalist is badass (biased here: it's my brother Brian Eagles)...
