I was hoping that the Waters concert would be simul-cast on a TV station, which would then cut over to a dog race or something just before the encore...
Aloha,
Brad
HaHa! Indeed...

Great choice! Hope you had a good 'un.

Incredible player.
BTW, Krantz's will be available for private lessons while in Montreal.

Thanks to bradm (plus Velvet & Peace Lizard) for the encouragement and some material for clips. We plan to head to the studio later this month to record a demo proper...
For those that may have interest, next gig is May 26 at Irene's.

Gonna try - haven't see Brendan (guitarist/ElBeeJay) in quite a while!
Lots going on here, though...
Game time decision.
-
Amazing! Nice work Dave et al...
-
Thanks so much!
(bradm - let's chat this week, 'kay?; Velvet - check yer email)
-
Thanks, man.
-
WOW! Thanks so much Brad!
First time outta the gate - can only improve from here...
Great to see you (and Todd, and Gord...) last night.
-
Bump for tonight...
-
Taping will be fine, Brad.
We'll be a bit tight for band space, but (IIRC) your system's pretty discreet.
FWIW, there are only about 10 RSVP spots left.

...and a bump.
-
Yes, BYOB it is...
-
I think so, Brad, but I'll check...
I expect it will be limited to 40 folks or so.

44 Main Street House Concert ~ 3 Jimmys
An evening of funk jazz pop rock reggae & crystal bowls !

Music to your Ears: 3 Jimmys play Friday 13th 8 PM
The 3 Jimmys met while tree planting in the woods of Northern Ontario near Hearst. Between seedlings, they would sing themes from Mary Tyler Moore, Colt 45 Beer, Davey Crockett, and Monty Python; these would later become mainstays of their sing-along repertoire.
Tunes that groove and are inspired by the loon, wolf and night sky: For all we Know, Lost in the Stars...
Inspired by trips to town: How Dry I Am, Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin), Zippity Do Da; and a lost pet by a trailer-dwelling herb-grower from Geralton, Chameleon.
A crazy guy who we met was Old Dan Tucker from Alabama. The sight of Barrhavan, upon returning to Ottawa, reminded us of Little Boxes on the hill side...
...and so much more.
3 Jimmys:
Jeremy Sills—Voice, Trumpet, Singing Bowls
Rob Frayne—Rhodes, Moog, Sax
Wayne Eagles—Guitar
Martin Newman—Bass
Mike Essoudry—Drums

For anyone that may give a toss, there's a couple of nice reviews of the new CD and the CD Release gig here:

We're in the process of finalizing a distribution deal, etc.
E-commerce will be on the Milligan-Eagles website by day's end...
So much to do!
Cheers & thanks,
Wayne

Hi folks...
Wayne Eagles here.
Thanks a ton Todd/velvet for your help getting the word out. A great many thanks also to those that took the time to drop by the gig.
We had a great time and managed to hold it somewhat together w/ all of a 20-minute rehearsal/soundcheck.
Just a quick clarification:
Russell Crawford is the now Ottawa-based drummer in CHUNGA - great guy, great player. Gigged in TO for many years w/ Peep Show, etc.
Drummer on the Milligan-Eagles Project CD Release was New York-based Adam Nussbaum. He's known for his work w/ Sonny Rollins, Dave Liebman, John Scofield, Steve Swallow, Mike Stern... A pretty legendary cat, check: http://adamnussbaum.net (drummer on the CD is Billy Kilson of Dave Holland's Quintet & Big Band...)
Many thanks again for all the support and the kind words.
Brad - you get a CD, bro? Meant to get ya one...
Best,
Wayne
