I can't wait for Basher to tell us it was "fun" but definitely sloppy and that the band just wasn't tight enough for him....
As bang on as your NFL picks
I had a blast the entire run. Things seemed to go way too smoothly for us. In fact, the biggest wrinkle we encountered was the beer store opening up about 45 minutes too late on day one.
Weirdness and Tungsten were all-star crew members, and Atlantic City was the absolute PERFECT destination for this run.
I will have a lot more to say when the fog clears, but I got a lot of work staring me in the face.
-
I will be there.

There is a whole lot of hot mess in this show. Just saying. I'm sure it would have been a blast to attend, but I don't know that I will be listening to much of this show again after the first pass.

"Well, the only thing I can really say is, Check the setlist."
Sounds fluffy to me.
-
Yep there you have it.
All I was trying to say was the following - the "listed" price of a ticket gives little indication of the actual value.
-
I get it, I was just answering your question as to why the discussion went that way.
-
Horrible analogy.

On mycityrocks a pair will run a cool $5000.
Believe me I thought of selling them- putting $1000 or more in my pocket and moving back about 30 rows but the guy who actually lined up for them is having none of it. And I don't really want to- its just who can ignore the fleeting thoughts that pop into ones head from time to time.
Not sure why the convo has turned into how much I could sell these for- I'm only freaking out because I don't want to get to the gates of MSG and have the scanner make the sound of death.
-
If the tickets are currently available for sale at that price, that means that nobody is willing to pay it. Otherwise, they wouldn't be available. Pretty simple theory.
Devalue tickets? What the fuck are you talking about?
-
There is no such date as Sunday November 3rd, 2010.
-
If anything, the fact that those tickets are listed at $1,000 each is proof that nobody is willing to pay that price.
-
As for the "they're only worth what someone will pay"- as a former baseball card collector I know from experience that is 100% true; but its second row for NYE in NYC. I think the market could push values way beyond what is reasonable. I could see some Wall St. sharps who used to be in the scene back in 1995 ponying up whatever someone is asking.
Ask $15,000 per ticket then. No, ask $500,000! No, ask a billion!
-
at that price why the fuck aren't you selling yours? holy shit!
Just because someone lists tickets at a grand a piece doesn't mean they will be sold for that price.
-
Stubhub sellers list approximate locations all the time. All Stubhub guarantees is that you get "similar" seats.

That was certainly as tight as the YEMs can come nowadays. Solid execution of Shine a Light. Overall show was just okay on the stream. Stream was incredible as always.

Aren't YOU a Phish fan?

Great time at the show last night. We went in early and ended up sitting about 9 rows from the floor at centre ice.
Sound was a bit muddy but tightened up as the evening progressed. Venue is super tiny - we couldn't even find the merch tables to see if there were any nice shirts.
$5 beers went down quickly inside - it was sweltering. The floor was a giant mass of people - looked pack tight.
First set seemed to go on forever. One of the bug gripes with 3.0 is that every show can seem the same, that was NOT the case last night. Music wasn't exactly 100% tight, but the meandering from song to song, teases everywhere, proved to be very organic.
Really looking forward to AC now!

Schwa I saw the last Reba Encore in September of '99 in Tucson - it is certainly a unique placement. We've got the iPod loaded up with this show for the ride from Niagara Falls to Utica.
-
Wondering who we might run in to in the forgotten city?
Really looking forward to my first indoor Phish show in 6.5 years!
-
Happy birthday buddy! You should treat yourself to a Phish show in Utica.
-
We had something come up so I had to sell our tickets.

These details hardly matter when you are dealing with the senile.

The crowd was totally excited when they openned the second set with it... i actually just relistened to it this morning.
Get off the drugs for more reasons than the fact they did not open the 2nd set with Meatstick in Rochester 99.
He is talking about Vegas '04.

Ha, yep, I sure was owned on that one.
Enjoy NYE - I won't be bagging on it from a computer in another country while you are enjoying the show, that's for sure.
