I've got a book or two on the way ...
Not sure how I feel about the downloads ... would have been nice to maybe have access to one or two more shows of my choice.
Paluska's letter is written very well, with a lot of questions being answered.

This Saturday, August 21, Rock Crew and CFRC present Death From Above 1979 & Raising The Fawn with special guests From Fiction at The Grad Club. Cover is $7.
Death From Above 1979 - One bassist, one drummer; loud enough to move things in your pants. Hear pop music get stripped naked, smashed to pieces and reassembled into a distorted, abrasive mess. This is the death of everything you once knew about rock music.
Raising The Fawn - They've opened locally for The Dears & The Weakerthans, they've blown audiences away both times. Don't miss them!

Rock Crew is very pleased to announce Matt Dusk at Elixir, Thursday, September 2. Advanced tix are on sale now.
Matt Dusk has recently come in to the international spotlight on the hit reality series The Casino (on Fox, produced by Mark Burnett). Matt has been providing the entertainment since day one, and recently his debut album "Two Shots".
Matt's music takes you back to the glory days of the Rat Pack - great vocals, style, sophistication. You can hear the warmth of Frank Sinatra, or the sincerity of Tony Bennett in his voice.
Don't miss this opportunity to see Matt Dusk live at Elixir. Tickets are $10 and on sale now at Zap Records, Brian's Record Option, Renaissance Music and Elixir.

Rock Crew and CFRC are very happy to bring back Toronto's The Golden Dogs to The Grad Club this Thursday, Aug 19 with special guests The Spades.
Considered the highlight of this year's North by Northeast Festival, and hitting "next big thing" lists across the country, The Golden Dogs are certainly a band not to miss in its' infancy. Incredibly high-energy, intense rock n' roll is what you should expect, and those expectations will be exceeded. There's no way you can prepare yourself for a show like this.
What better way to top up the bill then with Peterborough's The Spades? James McKenty and the boys have been recording with Gord Sinclair at The Bathouse, and even opened for The Hip this summer in Sarnia. Think you've seen some amazing roots-rock? You ain't seen nothin' yet.

Rock Crew and CFRC are proud to present Buck 65 with special guest Jason Collett (Broken Social Scene) tomorrow night (Friday, Aug 6) at Elixir Nightclub.
Buck 65 - imagine Tom Waits did a hip hop side project (that's how I hear it anyways) - it's incredible and has received rave reviews in Canada and the US (check the current issue of Rolling Stone) for his live show and his most recent album "Talkin' Honky Blues".
Jason Collett - guitar/bass/singer/songwriter/etc for Broken Social Scene, and a reknowned solo performer, Jason has shared stages with Hawksley Workman, Sarah Harmer, Howie Beck, and more. Don't miss one of Toronto's most acclaimed indie artists!
Advanced tix are $8 and on sale now at Zap's, Renaissance and Elixir Nightclub.
Jason Collett takes the stage at 10 PM, Buck 65 at 11 PM. DJ Grand Theft and D R One will entertain immediately following the show. Be there early!
