  1. You left a dead t-shirt here, as well as few brain cells... I'm not saying you suck, but I notice you won't be in Toronto for nero tonight. Have fun watching the hockey game tonight, call us on Monday.

  2. Pretty simple actually... why pay to see them in Toronto, then pay again for the nero Guelph show (which I'm sure SJ is taking a small share)? One show, 2 bands, a lot cheaper. Like i said, I saw them last year and thought they were great. Looking forward to seeing them in Guelph.

  3. getting ancy for the April 17th Nero show here in ottawa

I hear that! I'm doing the 3 night run this coming weekend (Guelph-> Lindsay-> Toronto), plus hopefully Buffalo on the 16th, then straight to Ottawa for the CD release party... 5 shows in the next 2 weeks isn't bad at all... :: :D ::

  4. Mark Wilson is a great guy, one of the kindest people I've met in the scene. Mark does have a nice voice when he sings, and although there will be lots of complaints about the line up for May 24 CTMF, it's better to get everything started on the right foot, fix all the gliches, then bring in some bigger talent... There's still one more CTMF this year after the May 24... Who knows what he's got planned for that one... Cheers to Mark Wilson, for all he's done, and is still doing to help promote this canjam scene... I'll raise a "pop" to you now... Cheers

This is one of the shows the boys played opening for Particle. They absolutely rocked the house that night. Track 3 alone is a gem... The show is available on the archives:

Saw this years ago, still good for a laugh or two... Definately not better than Dazed and Confused, but good to smoke some nugs and laugh at... Some really funny lines in it as well, me and my friends stole a bunch of them for our everyday conversation, especially:

"We gotta haul ass", "Worm", "What's the ratio?", "These aren't talls!!!", "He's just some dude...", and "'Don't Fear The Reaper' is a pussy song!". Like I said, Oscar material it is not, but it's definately a good movie to bake out to. (The ironic thing is that for a movie called The Stoned Age, there's hardly any dope smoking in it...)

  9. Probably, but I'd get a one day pass... Izzy's straight up sucks... While it is a beautiful venue, the amout of cops and kids makes it less of a crazy scene than Ghost Town ever was. That was part of the charm, you could do whatever you wanted, all while fantastic music was being played. I have seen almost every one of these bands live, and besides Diesel Dog and Tala, I really don't care to see most of them again. I'm not saying they suck, just not what I'm into. nero, being my favorite band, would obviously sweeten the deal. So would GTB, The Slip, Creaking Tree String Quartet, JSB, Drums & Tuba, or one of many other bands who have graced the stage at a CTMF. It's a fairly weak line-up at a overly policed venue... I'll be saving my money. Will you be going?
