From what I've listened to this year I would strongly disagree (with the nostalgia thing), I think they're kicking ass. On a personal outlook level it's hard to compare something that was once new and exciting to something you've gotten used to over a couple of decades. Plus, the ability to blow away the long-time Phish audience with something they haven't done before gets harder and harder as the years go by and so many things have been done before and others become cliche. I would assume newer fans feel the same way now that older fans did when it was fresh for them. If there was one show I could get to this summer it would be Phish.

I had never listened to these guys until yesterday morning when my brother sent a video link to them performing at Abbey Road. Was a little disappointed that I was 48 hours too late discovering them to catch them in Toronto. All I've been listening to since, almost through their discography now. Killer stuff.

Ouch, my eyes hurt!

Call me clueless (I wasn't there and don't watch the news) but how fucking long was that unattended Police car left in the middle of the street for the ensuing photo op before it was trashed?

Nice. Caught the tail end of the Hyde Park show streaming on youtube yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for the links!

Billie Jean first set closer.

I like how there's an on-site Luthier.

That Jeff Beck one looks killer!

I just discovered this too. Sucks. What's a hotspot sheild?

Awesome band.

Damn it! That was a damn good idea. Simple and effective.

So the polytune will manage all strings, but when you're tuning your guitar and pushing your neck forward it can lead to inaccurate tuning, so if you use this app or have the pedal and want 'better' tuning just use the individual mode. The 'poly' mode would be fantastic for restringing a guitar though.
TC supposedly found that players are often up to 6 cents off when tuning everything at once.
My pedal automatically switches back and forth depending on if you're strumming all of the strings or just hitting one. If I'm actually tuning I use the individual mode. The all 6 mode is cool to quickly/silently check all of your strings between songs etc.

I'm sure you've been but I use http://www.ultimate-guitar.com on a daily basis.

Sweet!

Got the pedal on my pedalboard. Love it.

Nice!

Looks sweet, although I wish when people did online ads they'd just take a quick picture of the actual instrument!

I'm not in Ottawa but this 60th anniversary Tele (MIM) recently came in on consignment at my shop. It's going for $469

Just a heads up to any folks in the Collingwood area that I've got advance tickets for sale at my store

I'd buy that Hamer for $500 with the case in a heartbeat.
EDIT: But not before doing some internet research followed by offering $400 for it.

I recently got a Fender MIM Nashville Power Tele and it kicks ass. I absolutely love it. I'd probably pay about $350 tops for a used MIM standard Tele off of kijiji or ebay or whatever. Totally worth the cash if you like the guitar which is really what matters in the end.

It's not a video but I was given this as a gift when I opened my Guitar shop. It's a late 1800's/early 1900's 6 string Charango. It's not for sale but it does serve as a great conversation piece in the shop!

I believe I was misquoted. I get offered coffee all day as my job requires me to visit restaurants frequently, but I stick to one good cup in the morning- I hate to admit it, but I'm a Starbucks man- bold roast- a bit of cream and a splash of sugar.
That was my statement not jaybone. bouche misquoted it as his signature at some point. I still require massive volumes on a daily basis and I'm currently enjoying a cup of instant Nescafe.

Also enjoying the fuck out of a Maxwell House from those giant $5 cans from Loblaw. At my rate of consumption and budget 100 cups of coffee for $5 > One cup of coffee that costs $5.
