  1. Very well put Ms.Huxtable... a most memorable night of great music and fun, despite what the heavens threw at us...we rocked on.. Keller was fantastic as usual, too bad we didn't get all the Cheese, but the GTB and Burt's made up for it in every way... Great meeting all the new folks at Mavericks and the after after party!

Oh what a beautiful buzz, what a beautiful buzz!!

  2. Ah sweet... thats good news... the Black sheep will be a better venue to see him I think! smaller and the sound is real good, however that means we gotta do some running around..

  3. No Keller? anyone hear this.. the Bluesfest line-up no longer lists him as playing:

  4. Thanks a million guys, I really appreciate it!!

It was a serious load of work, and a lot of good people contributed to it, espically game day when the doors open and the big ride begins! Everyone helped along, the water, the beer, the food, taking care of eachother, keeping others in line, etc. Out of a crowd of over 500 people, there were no problems at all really, even Kid Vicous was harmless... that really says a lot about the group of people that came together for this.. truely good souls!

The best reward is knowing what a kick ass time everyone had, and seeing what a powerful vibe we were all able to build up through the day ... truely was something special!

    This gets better every year!

    Thanks again!

  5. I am proud to say that I didn't hit the ground once, though I made several others hit the ground in my farewell bike loop. Even didn't die on the bike ride home.

Shit yeah, you looked like a small child learning how to ride a bike for the first time, people were clearing out the way as you paved a drunken path out of the courtyard!

  6. Yeah, that was the punk from next door... I got him off the stage the first time, then he was foolsih enough to take another run at getting back on the deck, I grabbed him by his bullet belt, pulled hard, ripped the front of his pants off and dragged him off the stage.... word is the boys were talking to him the next day and he remembers nothing at all... all in all a pretty harmless scene, but real funny to see it go down..

Highlight of that all was the boys doing "Little Help from my Friends", that put the whole day all in perspective..

  7. The big problem I find is the damn stryofoam containers and such, not so much at home since I can avoid it mostly but the food court at work here is rampant with them, and people throw them out...doesn't Ontario or Quebec (where I work) have any regulated programs for recycling styrofoam?

  8. I hear a can of worms opening, and it sounds like a big one...

Haha..agreed..and many of us have had this discussion before...forget what I said earlier...lets appreciate it for what it was...

On a high note I belive there's a 100 song box set + DVD of the history of "the band" coming out in May.

All proceeds going to the Robbie Robertson Bakyard Hottub Fund... :o

  9. If anyone has seen this movie: http://www.beingcaribou.com/

they can or will get a sense of the devastating effects this will have not just on the Artic, the Wildlife, and the People there.. but on the planet itself... this is an amazing movie, makes you really gain a sense of appreciation for this wilderness, and install in you the sense of urgency we are going through (whether ignorant to it or not) on this rock... theres a lot of people that need to start pulling their heads from their own small insignificant holes and realizing that the only way change and sustainability is gonna come is through each of us..

  10. Folks, this will be the Comfort Station pre-hiatus show, as we are about to take a musical break (the band anyway). The reason for this is two-fold. First and foremost, our drummer, Matias, is patterning his life after the National Film Board documentary 'Ski Bums' and heading to Golden, BC to ski away the winter. From there, he's heading to Argentina till at least the summer. So, we're down a drummer.

Secondly, Comfort Station is going to focus a bit more on our music and jamming. To those ends, we've already layed down the beds to 10 songs for our full-length album, including a tune you've never heard! Over the course of the next few months, there's gonna be a lot of work on that, including *hopefully* some guest musicians. We're doing the whole album ourselves, with the help of Cheshire Cat Studios of course!!. We plan to post updates now and again on this website throughout this project.

We'd like to thank everyone for their support during our first year as a band. You haven't heard the last of our music....and hopefully see some of you heads out this Saturday at Club One in Montreal!!

  11. Truely was a kick ass night!! I'm glad we got a good bunch of people out and it made for a fun dance filled and very adventurous night...it was also really cool to meet a bunch of new people there! Beats, awesome time once again hanging out, always the case of course!! I love your rap about the adventure finding the car, then making the most intense drive out to my place, only to find out the inside of my dwellings looks like a scene from India...defenitely candy for the head, and yes downstairs to the 4th dimension...fractalicous, the wall had you absorbed in it's everchanging mass of patterns...me too of course!! always good times, and hopefully it's not too long before were at it again!!

Also, Beats lemmie know what's going on with the parking ticket thingy, if you gotta pay it I should throw in on that, the least I could do....
