  1. The Masses will be in G-town March 3rd and 4th (this Friday and Saturday) so if yer in the area come on out and support these guys. Haven't seem'em in a while and really looking forward to the shows :):P  :)

  2. watch the prices, it's geared towards Americans but you can still travel cheap, I'd reccomend to go to Nicaragua it's cheap and just a beautiful as Costa Rica, when we were down there we spent a lot of time in Guatemala which was really cheap and easy to get around. Return bus tickets on the Tica Bus (like the Greyhound, but nicer, Spanish movies, they feed you and it air conditoned)from San Jose to Guatemala City $100 US, it's a little long, but you get to see a lot of Central America.

  3. Just got back from Costa Rica thispast November, you'll have a wicked time!! Check out Dominical, Samara, Arenal (has Costies largest volcano), Santa Elena has the best rainforestes, you can do a canopy tour there which is quite fun. Uveta that's south of Dominical (really quiet huge beach with no one on it). Puerto Veijo it's on Carribean side right on the Panama border, if your down there I recommend going to Bocas Del Toro Panama, it;s beautiful there and up the highway from Puerto Veijo is a town called Cahiuta, nobobies there either, nice huge beaches. I'll see if I can dig up anymore info from my girlfriend...HAVE A BLAST!!!

  4. the "industry" is pretty good here, most restaurants in town are always looking for good staff of all kinds, plus cooks for rafting companies, bartending jobs are a little hard to come by but if you come early and commit there'll be jobs...come on out and enjoy the mountains and midnight sun!!!

  5. another job opportunity out west in the heart of the rockies for the summer...at the Kicking Horse Resort in Golden...positions available- line cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers. Tons of biking, hiking, climbing and kayaking and just a good old time in Golden. send resumes to Human Resources at Kicking Horse Resort...I need staff for the summer!!!

  6. What a great weekend of music, started off with a fun Slip show in Hamilton! Looked like there was lots of people havin' a good time. I was looking forward to seeing the Golden Dogs (me and my pals new FAVOURITE band)on Saturday but we decided to see some old friends at the Elmo, Deisel Dog....who are the only dawgs in my book, hahahahaha! Great show guys....maybe you'll make it west sometime. I KNOW the Golden Dogs will :: GOLDEN DOGS!!!!!!

  7. Just check put World Symphontic Groove Orchestra lastnight....really, really good!! Live funk groove with a taste of old school drum'n'bass...anybody in Vancouver/Van. Island has to check out this band..... :: :: ::

  8. I'm gonna have to go with how this thread started...The Band, between Garth and Richard it was magic. Richard playing honky tonk/classical piano and Garth coming up with this amazing improvsed harmony/orchestral synth, backing the greatest rock and roll band of all time is uncomparable. Richard just rumbles through the keys that have got so much soul it hurts and Garth hunched over it keyboards like he was crippled by the music, back to back, matching the 3 piece harmony it backed creating a sound that has been unmatched......

  9. saw the new wassabi collective on sunday afternoon at lake louise and i was really really impressed. i hadn't seen them in a bit, and with all the line up changes and new sounds.....kinda a loungy electro/funk sound, with some great synth...i guess the night before they were rockin' the house. no news on where they're heading next, but if they're coming to your town check'em out ::
