i thought this show was fantastic, and a lot of fun too... what a good crowd, and canadian representation! it was good to see so many friends in the crowd.
heres the only picture that turned out decent, while there was some white light in the room:

i'm with AD, he's a boring performer (like many electronic artists), but has an endless catalog of fat funky beats. kinda like amon tobin (in that he's boring to watch, but a good listen).

Math could be more diverse showing the different number systems that were used in history. Some of it's pretty basic, like roman numerals, counting systems of other cultures...hey, and what about the abacus?
it's not so much about using african numbering systems, it's about using african statistics and examples to teach math... i.e. what proportion of immigrants are african, and from which african countries they migrate.
personally, i think it's a good idea to engage more african kids... however the point about opening the floodgates for other races/religions is a valid one. time will tell how this plays out.

there's a bar there with a glass floor and sharks underneath... the name escapes me' date=' but should be easy to find (off 6th st).[/quote']
Is that the QUA Bottle Lounge?
Aloha,
Brad

i was there for a christmas party, this is what i remember:
there's a bar there with a glass floor and sharks underneath... the name escapes me, but should be easy to find (off 6th st).
also the 'bat bridge' is home to millions of bats, and is apparently quite a sight to see, if the bats are out/flying/migrating (on S Congress).
sixth street is the main drag, where the college kids party. if i recall south congress is a more mature strip, with lots of patios and funky stores. both neighbourhoods are fun! sixth street is closed to vehicles on weekend evenings, and the street is patrolled by mounted police. kinda like mardi gras is suppose.
the state capitol is a remarkable building. check it out!
