  1. I'm playing in Dover that night too, down the street at the brig....come check us out during the diesel dog setbreak, theres actually 3 bands playing, and I'm in two of them......watch out though, we might be getting out a few old speed metal songs.....not for the faint of heart.....

I'm just kidding, ....kinda...nah its good music, like RHCP ,Audioslave and Alice in Chains to name a few..

I think I might pitch a tent at your moms if I can though Dancing man....didn't she move?..I'm not sure if I know where to...

    shoot me an email.

  2. I think some people are getting confused here. I wasn't at the '99 show, but I was at the 2000 show. I can say for certain that SevenSeasJim wasn't at the 1999 show either.

    lol....thats pretty funny

I was at both shows, the only two times I've seen Phish....great memories

highlight of both summers, hard to believe its been that long.

  3. okay folks, heres some more pictures.......sorry if any are compromising I just take it as I see it.::::::

    check them out here

  4. man I had an awesome time....paan sure said it right when he mentioned having a hard time adjust to going back to work, I slept all afternoon and night sunday, went to work monday morning at 9am, and still couldnt function, i went home at 10:30am to go back to sleep, and slept till 7pm, and still was back in bed by midnight too sleep another full night...unbelievable, next time I think I need to remember to eat along the way, my body can't take all that debauchery for 3 nights straight....

I'm still movin slow, and its tuesday night!!!

you guys are all fantastic, each CTMF gets better and better as I get to know more and more people in this scene, I can't get enough of you guys!!!

  5. right on TimmyB thanks, i think our trip was about the same distance, i know I was arount 2800 both ways.....excellent review by the way....i like how you stressed that you saw complete sets....I seen so many half sets, because there was so much schedule conflict.

  6. do you think going through buffalo is a better way?....I've taken Detroit both times I've gone to Bonnaroo.

I'm about 3hrs from Windsor, and about 2hrs from fort erie or niagara, we hit alot of construction on the way back.....definately loved the drive through north Tn and Kentucky, those mountains are beautiful, Ohio and Michegan suck though.

  7. I think what you do is great Willy, and I think alot of others would agree with me, everytime i read your entries I feel like I'm there in Tennessee again, I'm still reading last years again and again too

keep up the good work, and pay no attention to those guys, the rest of us can't get enough of your writing.

  8. yeah, we saw that when we were on our way from Praxis to Vida Blue.....that was hilarious, I think it was the hilite of my girl friends weekend....i tried to get some pics, but it was pretty dark, my camera doesnt do to well in the dark, Willy took some though, although he didnt even know who william hung was, not a fan of reality TV I guess.

  9. Hey Guys, heres some more of my pics from the last day (Sunday) at bonnaroo

I was dumping my memory card on Willys laptop everynight, so i will have many more soon

I'm glad to hear you got jazzy on the road again relatively quickly Willy, and the mechanic was very helpful....

hopefully his invoice wasnt too horrible.

I'll bug you about coming to get those pics on CD later after you guys get some sleep..

    "Sleep well, my Canadian brother"

    Taj Mahal

    tajmahal.jpg

I really enjoyed hearing some good old fashion blues....I was not familiar with Taj Mahal before Bonarroo,

although I've always heard the name.

This pic will tie in with Willy's story about walking through the mud, it was absolutley insane, in some of the heavily trampled area between stages.

the more people walked through it, the softer the mud got....

    Moe

I think Moe always sound great, I'm definatley gonna have to pick some up.

only stuck around for about 3 or so songs though, there was so many things to see..

Soulive and Addison Groove Project were both playing as well, so i had to make my rounds.

Soulive(anyone know the guest singer Regi Watts?....he was amazing)

I had never heard very much Soulive before, I got really close for this one, and never made it to the Addison show,

Oh well, they be in the Hammer soon.

    MMW (with Robert Randolph)

got to this show a little late, tried running back to the campsite, to regroup,

this can take a few hours when you have to walk a couple miles through 12" deep pudding.

cold beer in the cooler, hey guy's MMW is already playin, were missin it, lets go

back into the muck we go....

when we got there Robert Randolf was onstage with them, i tried some pics, but you can only see his silouette,

it was rainin pretty good at this point, i didn't want to be using my camera too much.

    mmw1.jpg

    mmw4.jpg

    Then the hard rain started.....

the musicians left the stage, and we headed to the Superjam the get some shelter.

    The Superjam

    this was awesome!!

although it took a while for all 5 of us to squeeze our way under the tent.

I recognized George Porter Jr. on bass, I remember seeing him on my "Deepest End"(Gov't Mule) DVD....he's great

I wish I could remember who played with origionally, I'll have to do some research.

And for most of it I didnt even know i was seeing Maceo Parker, as I didnt really even know what he looked like before this.

Most of Soulive as well, and Stanton Moore of course,

you guys might have to help me fill the blanks for some of the others though

    Trey Anastasio Band

well, although I really am sure I would have enjoyed the first set of Trey with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra in a Theatre setting,

I dont think it worked well for the final show of bonnaroo,

    everyone was ready to dance!!!!

    The Second set however Rocked!!!

he did some really good covers too, like Devil went Down in Georgia, Sultans of Swing,

and Black Dog(ohmygod) who was that female singer, she tore it up!!

oh, during the last couple songs fireworks were going off in the distance, lighting up the sky, what can I say a wicked finale to an awesome weekend.

well thats all for now folks....

i will review the rest of the stories when I get all my pics together..

  10. Well, I just made it home from the long drive from Tennessee, and I am exhausted.....it took us alot longer to get home than it did too get there, because we kept hitting traffic and construction, and me and Lisa were both so tired, trading seats about every 2 hours, we even pulled over to sleep for a bit somewhere in Ohio, not an easy thing to do in a fully packed Sunfire.....

we left the campsite at 10am yesterday, and i just got home(7am), of course it took a couple hours just to get out of the venue...

Mann what an amazing time we had, the first half was so hot and sunny almost unbearable, and then on Saturday about 2 hours before the dead hit the stage the rain just started pouring down, it was insane, it wouldn't stop....it turned the whole area into a sea of mud, getting from one area to the next became very difficult, but you couldn't stop this crowd.....some of the outside shows we either cut short or delayed on both saturday and sunday, but the tent shows kept rockin.....

I'm goin to put together a full review of everything i saw with my pictures...but first i need some sleep, so stay tuned, theres more to come!!

  11. Right on.....I just got a call from Willy and he is in the Line-up already, although he is not sure if they are actually letting people in....he fears they may be in line to get turned away.....

but he says theres people looking to buy tickets everywhere, so i might sell my extra afterall...

well, ...Willy's already there and I havnt even left yet, I was suppose to leave last night when Lisa got here at 7-8pm, but we both decided to take a little nappy first so i set my alarm for 3am, but now that I've heard Willy's already there I can't sleep, so here I am hanging out on jambands when i should be finishing my packing.......so we should be setting sail in about an hour or so.

So save us a spot Willy, we'll be there in about 14 hours!!!

    who-hoo ::

  12. were not far behind you Willy, I think I've got at least two more coming with us too, gonna find out forsure in the mornin......he also has an RV, I'm toying with the idea of cancelling the rental car and just driving his RV, but we'll see
