  1. Hey all, Jeff Jones here. I'm still around...mostly lurking though. I just thought I'd drop a note here to let people know that I am entering the world of solo performance this Tuesday night. It's a whole big thing. For those who enjoy such musical excursions please come out and see. What do I sound like??? I've been called a "post-modern troubadour"...that sounds snotty though. I like to call it 'quirk-rock'. Mike Doughty meets Ani Difranco Also, It a pretty cool little venue. Where: The Free Times Cafe 320 College Street (North side...just west of Spadina) Toronto When: Tuesday, January 9 at 9:00 pm
  2. Jaimoe, The RC 20xl goes for about $319 at Long and McQuade this week. I have a boomerang...cool! I have the Line6...also cool but different it also has supercool delay sounds (can't be used simultaneously). The Boss is the only unit I know that stores multiple loops indefinately. That's kind of a cool feature if you're playing solo. Let us know what you get.
  3. I'm so sorry to hear this. Try to smile while you think of him. Jef
  4. P.S.--Loved the show. It was solid throughout. The run from You Better, You Bet--> My Generation-> Jam--> Cry if You Want--> Won't Get Fooled and then the Tommy followed by reflective acoustic (T and Theatre) encore was as good as any rock performance I've ever witnessed.
  5. Simon's guitar level varied. During the new song "Mike Post Theme" (my favorite of the new) his electric was actually quite prominent--as he was the only electric guitar in that song. Mostly he played rhythm (just chords mostly) and could only be sort of heard when Pete did solo-y bits. He joined the band before the 2002 tour. He was supposed to compensate for John's degenerating vocals. When John died on the eve of that tour he remained. Jef
