Davey Boy 2.0
Boring first half, with both Arsenal and L'pool not wanting to make a mistake. Second half, was another story. Arsenal squandered threee sure goals, the first chnace had Thierry Henry shoot the ball off of Stephane Henchoz's outstretched hand. No call, however, and Henry should have done better.Ljungberg finally broke the deadlock around the 72nd minute after L'pool failed to clear the ball from their own area, and the gunners looked confident of the result. They didn't, however, factor in the pace and explosiveness of young Michael Owen. Around the 82nd minute a goalmouth scamble in front of the pirate, David Seaman, resulted in an acrobatic half-volley from Owen, and a gorgeous thru ball from patrick berger ten minutes later sent Owen to FA Cp glory with a beautiful finish.I'm drinking champale.
