Dustin Cohen
Apparently Bell Sympatico is capping connections to 5 gb/month (upload+download) This would make it virtually impossible to operate Furthur or Direct Connect. Considering here in Ontario Sympatico and Rogers have a monopoly on the High Speed market I recomend that all people who are concerned email sympatico to voice their concern. In this day in age internet services should be getting faster and cheeper, not slower and more expensive. Is this the begining of the end? This has not been confirmed 100% by sympatico yet however there was an article in one of the Toronto news papers this morning discussing it
scottieking
First CDR prices to rise and now this.Fuck 'em. They can't do this, can they?
Dustin Cohen
apparently they are doing it any no body gives a damn, first they raise CD media prices, then they deem decoding american satillite signals illegal (last week which is a form of censorship), and now possibly this...something has to be done

rubberdinghy
Well...I am not an expert on this...Wait a sec, I work for the company...They haven't made any changes. I can tell you the Sympatico is actually making strives towards making the service better, not slower...but anyways...I think the internet is a sham! rubberdinghy
We don`t really do anything like that here...We are actually on the Bell Canada side...we provision Sympatico, and other ISP`s onto the customers telephone line...As for the co-op, I know Bell is into that sort of thing...If you look at www.bell.ca and click on Jobs@Bell, it goes into all the co-op stuff and jobs for grads programs that Bell offers...Check it out, Hope that helps!
