Guest
It has come to my attention that not all of you have quite yet figured out how to customize The Watchtower. If you're in this boat, please read on.. It's easy! The Watchtower, of course, is found on the far left side of the main page here at Jambands.Ca. As a registered user, you are able to customize The Watchtower so that it displays the upcoming shows in four cities of your choosing. If you haven't customized The Watchtower, chances are that there are no cities on display for you just yet. Instead, you see the line "Add Show Watch" in four rows. All you have to do is simply click on one of the "Add Show Watch"s and follow through with your city selection. Repeat this easy step for each of your four city selections. Once you have shows appearing in your personal Watchtower, try rolling your mouse cursor over top of a show. This will reveal a snazzy little pop-up box containing all the information fit to print on that particular show. Enjoy! =) KevO PS - Bands, promoters and fans, please feel free to email me at kevo@jambands.ca with any show info that you feel should be up on the jambands.ca shows database. bouche
Thanks to some great feedback from KevO, The Watchtower's interface has been tweaked a bit. Once you have a city watch set up, you can change it by clicking on the EDIT button. Clicking on the City name will launch the details page for that city. Mouseovers do not trigger the popup anymore. You have to click on the event item to launch the popup info, and then you can click on the artist name in the popup to launch an event search for that artist. More cities are going to be added shortly. Stay tuned.
Guest
And thanks to Mr. CyberHippie for making that onClick suggestion! You folks got any more suggestions or comments for the shows listings?
CautionClown
Have you thought about an alternative to the city database? You could get persons to choose which jamband they're looking for. Eg. I could choose fatcats and the watchtower would give me the available fatcats show regardless of city. I really like the watchtower as is.
