Rossolee
Howdy All- I was in Boston last weekend and was able to catch some grate music. I caught Railroad Earth open for legend Sam Bush at the Somerville Theatre. A wonderful old theatre to catch music. RRE are a new blue/jamgrass band. Some grate pickin'.The Sam Bush Band was awesome as always. One of the worlds finest mandolin players, not too mention he can tear it up on the fiddle. Some phun covers during his show... Dylans-Girl from the North Country, Hendrix-Third Stone from the Sun, and a medley of Marleys Lively Up Yourself into Is This Love. Bluegrass Reggae! Awesome stuff. On Aprils Fools we caught Jacob Fred Jazz Oddysey with special guest Steve Kimock at Harpers Ferry. JFJO are a 3 piece(drums, keys, and bass) These guys kick down an eclectic mix of jam, jazz and funk. I'm a huge phan of Steve, so having his soaring solos over this trio was a HUGE treat. Tons of improve playing! Highlight was Its Up to You. KILLLER! Reid Mathis is a force to reckon with on the bass. Phun Stuff. www.railroadearth.com www.sambush.com www.jfjo.com www.kimock.com
