Here phishy, here phishy phish...

Just enjoying the shows I scored off of Phish Feb. Tour, trying to decide what the heaviest song of the tour was. I have narrowed my pick to three:

- Piper: 2/16/03 thomas and mack

- Tweezer: 2/28/03 nassau coliseum

- maze: 2/26/03 the worcester centrum

I think the tweezer may have it by a hair...

input anyone?

well, I think Phish Winter Tour had prize after prize of fantastic jamming, some of the best ensemble playing I've heard Phish do since the fabled Fall 1997 tour!

I'm with you on the Piper from Vegas, here's a few more sickies to check out:

2-20 - Simple, Gotta Jibboo, SEVEN BELOW!!

2-22 - Walls Of The Cave, Tube > Gin, Bowie

2-24 - Twist Around, just unbelievable

2-26 - Back On The Train, Round Room, Ghost

2-28 - the whole freakin' second set!

I *love* the sound of 2003 Phish. Page plays like a maniac and doesn't let the Red Rooster push him around anymore, and Trey's playing is light years away from the NYE run debacle.

[big Grin][big Grin] mmmmmm, Phish.......... [big Grin][big Grin]

I was at the 2/24 show - that Twist blew my mind. Just plain awesome.

BUT for me, in terms of the greatest moment from the tour, the 2/16 Piper with DWD ending is tops. I was there for that too, and got a total body buzz.

QUOTES:

Jaybone: "Dude, are they still playing Piper?"

bsherman: "Yep"

a few moments later...

bsherman: "Dude, they're still playing DWD!!!!!"

Awesome.

i'm totally hooked on this tour - maybe because the phish downloads are cheap and sound sooo good. I love the way that a couple of songs from each show are just epic. Maybe too many repeats but they sound killer.

I keep telling myself that I'm not allowed to buy any more shows...but then i get to wonderin'....bam! another killer set!!

I have yet to be dissapointed

maybe next time I'll wise up and just buy the whole tour - especially as it costs the same as going to a single show

My particular fav's [big Grin]

TASTE

from the Spectrum pushes the envelope and unleashes one of the most top notch versions around [Eek!]

GBOTT

from Nassau is pretty dank too; Trey and Page milk it for what it's worth in the tension and release department

MOMA DANCE

from Worcester is soooo slick! It doesn't rage like Toronto Summer 2000 (which in my books is a top 5 version) but it grooves so well.

other than that, 2003 was quite impressive in the jam department!
