Kevin Spacey cast as Lex Luthor in 'Superman'

I think he is a great choice for this role

This sort of flew below the radar. Spacey could really nail that smarminess that is Lex- by being his, well, smarmy self. Perhaps only John Travolta himself could outsmarm Spacey. Too bad that Tim Burton isn't going to get his darker version made though, Clark Kent with some stubble and a taste for scotch.

This sounds promising too- wonder what it means:

He's already part of the culture; he has left the planet. This is the story of his return."

Sounds like they are taking the concept of "The Dark Knight Returns" and are transposing it onto Superman. Although this plot has been done several times (most recently in The Incredibles), I am anxiously awaiting this film.

But before Superman comes out in theatres, let's not forget about this guy:
