meggo Posted February 23, 2005 Report Share Posted February 23, 2005 what kind of music is it... ummmm well i'm no plaskett expert, i just have one cd and have been to one show... it's not very "jammy"... he's got a really smooth sweet voice... i dunno, rock n roll? catchy licks, interesting lyrics, plus he's an east coaster so ya know he's probably friendly. to me it's the kind of music that most people can get into, and some people can really get into. i love the cd that i have and i loved the show that i went to. La De Da is the newest one (released yesterday) or Truthfully Truthfully is also awesome. This next tour is solo (as is his latest cd), but he just played a couple shows in Toronto at the end of January with his band Joel Plaskett Emergency. Three pce...Joel on guitar and vocals w/ bass & drums. He writes really good songs and puts on a really great show. Plus, who ever comes to Victoria?
