bradm Posted January 20, 2003 Report Share Posted January 20, 2003 I did a quick check, and have discovered that, except for the regularly-scheduled events (i.e., Open Jam at Dekcuf on Tuesday, Raggamuffin at Babylon on Thursday), there aren't any shows in Ottawa this week until Saturday ("A Head's Tale" followed by nero at Dekcuf). Am I missing something, or am I actually going to get some sleep this week? The only other possibility for me would be nero at the Scherzo in Kingston on Friday, for which I might be up if there was a roadtrip with space available. They are an 8 piece Jazz/Funk crew from Montreal. They have played with DJ Greboy and Metalwood. They're pretty cool shite and you should definitely check them out if you get the chance. Mercury Lounge is a cool little spot that's very reminiscent of a trendy Montreal jazz lounge. I'm glad to hear they are doing live music again.
