paisley
Geobloggers combining the technologies of Flickr and Google Mapstake a pic, note the coordinates and post it (much better instructions on the site)great concept, hope it grows popular... if you know the GPS coordinates of a place you can search for pictures taken in that area (say you want to know what an area looks like around a show you plan to attend, etc)does anyone know a good resource for finding the GPS coordinates of cities or better yet, different areas of cities? paisley
found an ok reference for finding out global position coordinates for cities in Canadahttp://www.bcca.org/misc/qiblih/latlong_ca.html - ain't pretty but gives you a rough idea where you're at... Hamilton is 43° 16' N 79° 54' W (sorta)while searching for it came across another cool geek site that "is a location-to-URL reverse directory." http://geourl.org/ - if you click a point on the map it shows you website from that region... you can also just type in your longitude and latitude coordinates into the url on the top of the page (after you've done a location search) Edited May 2, 2005 by Guest
