bradm
My brother recommended the new book by Eric Idle, titled "The Greedy Bastard Diary: A Comic Tour Of North America". It details a tour of NA that he did in 2003 (including stops in Toronto, Belleville, Ottawa, Burlington, VT., etc.), and is a pretty good read. It's written as one small (several pages) chapter per day, so is good to read in small bits, has info on "touring life" (which is pretty much the same for rock'n'roll tours as for comedy tours), recollections of his life (including early childhood in and just after WW II), and his friendship with George Harrison, not to mention a lot of stuff about Monty Python. (Pop Quiz: Where in the USA did Python first break? Dallas, Texas, believe it or not.) Aloha, Brad
Dr_Evil_Mouse
Skimmed through it in a bookstore recently - agreed, quite a good read. Good observations on French and English Canada.
