help - mp3 conversion

Hey folks:

Wondering who can suggest a good program for converting to mp3s. Preferably from shn or flac, but from wav is fine.

Have the mp3 player now, so its got to be done...

This program will decode from SHN/FLAC/WAV/MP3/MP$/OGG/Monkey's Audio to any of the formats...

Its freeware & extremely user friendly.Although there is only a trial period for the mp3 conversion then you have to purchase the mp3 license.

dBpowerAMP Music Converter

It will prompt you to download the required codecs as you use it.Download em and run it.You can also convert directly from CD to any format.

I use a program called FreeRip to go directly from CD to mp3. Never tried from WAV to mp3 but it says it can do it. As far as shn or flac to mp3 try googling. There are also input plugins out there for winamp the allow you to play flac or shn and there are output plugins that allow you to encode mp3. You should be able to install all these plugins and have winamp read in flac/shn and output mp3. I can't confirm this now since I don't have windows box handy but it should work.
