can-o-phish
Really, wow, I had no idea. Thanks Kevin Breit Hugh's Room Last couple of Folk Alarm shows were just as good as a show can get. Guitarchitect will be uploading them soon for bit torrent downloads as I'll be passing these shows his way tomorrow evening. Tomorrow's Folk Alarm Show is also a CD Release for their new CD "5". Folk Alarm is a trio, a combination of Kevin Breit, Russell Boswell and Jorn Juul Andersen. For their fifth CD, they are accomponied by two additional musicians adding accordian and sax making this offering a quintet and so the name for the CD fit. This hasn't left my CD player since early Tuesday morning. Django Reinhardt meets Levon Helm meets David Grisman with the imagination and quirkiness of the five musicians who have all contributed to an incredible collection of tunes. shainhouse
Yeah... I can't go (stupid night class) but I thought a bunch of folks here would be into it. Quick note:Kurt Swinghammer is opening, which is also lovely and the cover is $14 at the door. Not bad for both acts and Hugh's Room is notoriously expensive compared to other venues. It's much more of a 'cabaret' style place anyways.peace out. Edited September 21, 2005 by Guest
