AD
Plaskett played with just his Dad, it was a good show. Missed the first song, second was Natural Disaster... He played pretty much all of La De Da. It was decent, doesn't really work as the opener for a rock show. Kathleen Edwards fucking rocked, it was great. Good mix of old and new, two covers (One Hundred Years From Now closed the show) and another that she sang with Joel that I can't remember and it's driving me crazy.... Coulda been a lovin spoonful song, or bread.. one of those happy bands...Anyways, i loved the show. Joel woulda done better in a smaller, quieter place not packed with rockers waiting to see Kathleen play her first hometown show in over a year... But he did well considering.ADps. oh yeah, kathleen was jealous of joel playing with his dad, so she got her dad up to sing a song. it was, well, touching. not so musical though. she was super emotional all through the set, cried twice i think. talked a lot about how she missed ottawa so much and how much it meant to her etc.... it wasn't an act, she had a hard time keeping it together. good to see.
