Comin' Into Baghdad, Iraq by Mikhael Ser

I was just listening to this parody of the Arlo Guthrie tune.

This is what the singer/song-writer says:

This is my take-off of Arlo Guthrie's great song Coming Into Los Angeles.

I played all the instruments and sang the words, which I wrote (as I was

flying on a C-130 into Baghdad, REALLY!!), but it's all based on the great

original from Arlo.

There's a line in it "Terrorists on the attack in a foreign land." Given that the whole song is about the Americans in Iraq, I think that line is referring to himself and his army buddies. Logically, you'd think so; but given that he's the army guy in question, I'm not sure.

Anyway, you can check out the song here and see what you think:

Actually, I just noticed, Arlo himself commented on the song:

Mike!

Geez you got us down pretty good!!! Even we can't do that. I finally had a chance to hear your version... sad and funny and the same time if you know what I mean. Be freaking careful over there and get back and make some more music. Don't worry about the copyright.... Not yet anyways. :) You got enough to worry about. Our best wishes to you and all the friends we have over there. Keep playing!

All the Best,

Arlo Guthrie
