StoneMtn Posted January 21, 2006 Report Share Posted January 21, 2006 I was just listening to this parody of the Arlo Guthrie tune.This is what the singer/song-writer says:This is my take-off of Arlo Guthrie's great song Coming Into Los Angeles.I played all the instruments and sang the words, which I wrote (as I wasflying on a C-130 into Baghdad, REALLY!!), but it's all based on the great original from Arlo.There's a line in it "Terrorists on the attack in a foreign land." Given that the whole song is about the Americans in Iraq, I think that line is referring to himself and his army buddies. Even we can't do that. I finally had a chance to hear your version... sad and funny and the same time if you know what I mean. Be freaking careful over there and get back and make some more music.
