guigsy
still working on days off, but im trying to work out Ithaca > Montreal, then Buffalo the following week. but i dunno if i wanna see that many shows given the lack of setlist variation from their last couple times out... plus im pretty sure we'll see more dates added after Colorado, on the way back home.ahhhh, the slip in the spring... i love it! secondtube
are they moving towards a 'show' that they perform, rather than changing up teh sets?for a band like the slip, i think that would be great...gotta tighten up a couple of sets worth of tunes, and play the shit outta them.nice. guigsy
i wouldnt say they're moving towards a set show that they perform regularly, in the way that i think you mean... but, i know that they really love playing these tunes that they've written for the albums recently (both their own and smmd)... the thing with the slip is even though the setlist might not change so much, the way they play the songs certainly will, from night to night. (you know, like, from bee-yooo, to maybe, booo-yeee!). plus, im sure they're wanting to promote the shit out of this album that is supposed to come out god knows when.i dont mind so much that they do similar setlists, because the shows really do end up kicking a lot of ass once they get find that groove and get 'em down, but, seeing a similar setlist every night isnt very travel friendly.
