VIP tickets and additional snoe.down info

Greetings! Here’s some useful information related to your Snoe.down VIP ticket:

WRISTBAND EXCHANGE/POSTER & CD PICK-UP

You may pick up your poster, compilation CD and VIP festival wristband from 8:30AM – 3:00PM on Friday, March 17 at the Olympic Center. Enter the building near the box office and go upstairs. There will be a table in the corridor directly above the box office.

We strongly suggest that you get your wristband credential as early in the day as possible. Not only will this make getting into the Olympic Center easier later on, but it will provide you with the privileges that go with wearing the wristband, including two complimentary runs on the NASTAR challenge at Whiteface and discounts at some of the local establishments.

If you come early and put your poster and CD in your vehicle or your room, you won’t have to carry them around all night or worry about forgetting to pick them up at the end of the festival.

If you need to pick up your VIP ticket at WILL CALL, go to the box office first, and be sure to have your photo ID with you.

The VIP wristband exchange will be CLOSED between 3:00PM and 5:30PM.

VIP ENTRANCE

VIP wristband exchange/poster & CD pick-up will reopen at 5:30PM at the VIP entrance. This area is located at the entrance to the LUSSI RINK/1932 ARENA at the Olympic Center. It is adjacent to the Visitor’s Bureau on the side near the large electronic sign.

Note that this is NOT the entrance next to the box office!

Posters and CD’s may be picked up until 11:30PM each night.

RE-ENTRY

You will be permitted to leave and re-enter the Olympic Center at the VIP entrance until 11:30 PM as long as you are wearing your VIP wristband. Lost, cut or tampered with wristbands will not be honored. Be advised, however, that you will be subject to the same security measures each time you re-enter the building. This is done for everyone’s safety.

VIP LOUNGE

The VIP lounge is located at the rear of the Lussi Rink. The Lussi Rink will be on your right after you have entered the Olympic Center from the VIP entrance and climbed a short set of stairs. To get to the VIP lounge, do not enter the Lussi Rink from the public entry. Instead, go down the corridor past the restrooms and you will be directed by staff to the rear entrance.

You must be at least 21 years of age with a valid photo ID to be served alcoholic beverages in New York.

The VIP lounge will have a Ketel One ice bar serving specialty martinis. Your VIP wristband will entitle you to two complimentary drinks from this bar.

In addition, Yuengling beer will be available for $2.00 per drink, and there will be a cash bar serving custom Ketel One martinis. Soft drinks and water will also be available for purchase in the VIP lounge.

Please note that all drinks served in the VIP lounge must be consumed in the VIP lounge.

The Lussi Rink and the VIP Lounge will close at 11:30 PM each night.

ICE SKATING IN THE ‘32 RINK

You are entitled to complimentary ice skate rental for use in the 1932 Rink, which is located across the hall from the Lussi Rink. Ice skates will be available from 5:30PM until 10:00PM each night. You must return your skates by 10:00PM. Please note that both supplies and sizes are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

You may bring your own skates (sorry, no speed skates allowed). Please note that there are no lockers available.

No alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the ’32 rink area.

The 1932 Arena will close at 11:30PM each night.

VIP RESERVED SEATING AREA

There will be a reserved seating area (GA) for VIP’s located in the stands to the left of the stage.

VERIZON LUGE CHALLENGE/NASTAR CHALLENGE

You are entitled to participate in the Verizon Luge challenge at Whiteface on Saturday or Sunday. You must register between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM for same day participation.

Present your VIP wristband at the start house of the NASTAR course located on Lower Valley to receive 2 free races on the “People’s Race Courseâ€. Challenge the time of National Pacesetters from 11:00 AM until 3:30 PM. Collect your race times and medals at the guest service desk located on the main level of the base lodge.

Please note that as capacity is limited, participation in both the Verizon Luge Challenge and the NASTAR “People’s Race Coutrse†will be on a first come, first served basis.

FOOD DRIVE

Strangers Helping Strangers are organizing a food drive in connection with Snoe.down. Please bring a can of food or other non-perishable food item when you arrive at the Olympic Center. There will be collection containers near the entrances. These food items will be donated to the Lake Placid Food Pantry. Thanks in advance for your support!

A WORD ABOUT YOUR LIFT TICKETS

Due to a programming error, lift tickets were printed with the dates March 17 & 18 only. All lift tickets will be honored on March 19 if you wish to use them on Sunday. In other words, if you purchased a one day lift ticket, you may use it on any one day between March 17-19. If you purchased a two day lift ticket, you may use it in combination with any two days between March 17-19.

Please keep checking the official Snoe.down website for additional festival updates before you depart for Lake Placid. Have a safe trip!
