bradm
kc, I'm not sure about promoters, but for venues, you might try Mavericks or Cafe Dekcuf, which are run by the same people, and upstairs/downstairs from each other. Mavericks' capacity is 200-300, Dekcuf's about 100-150 (I think). Both bars book mostly "younger" acts, though (including jam, punk, hardcore, hip-hop, etc.). Probably the best bar for blues in Ottawa is The Rainbow, but it's considerably bigger. The Black Sheep Inn (which is in Wakefield, QC, about a half-hour drive from downtown Ottawa) might also be good; check their calendar to see the kind of artists they attract. Still another would be Rasputin's Folk Cafe.Aloha,Brad Edited August 11, 2006 by Guest
