bouche
I was at Chapters today and stumbled upon the discount section. I came out with 3 brand new cookbooks. Each book is hardcover and each recipe has a great photo attached. Basically, they are very well done for the type of cuisine that they're covering. One is for TAPAS, and the photos are making me want to setup another TAPAS party.Another is a Thai book. We make a few yummy thai dishes, and all of the inspiration comes from websites, usually without any pictures. The last one is a generic Spices book that is loaded with spicy recipes from all corners of the world.I like the photos because I really work better with visuals. I probably only need to see the expected result once to be comfortable knowing a dish, but that's a big part of the culinary puzzle for me.mmm...now if I could just figure out how the guy at Ging Sing makes their dumplings so perfectly crispy. AdamH
You should really get "Hot, Sour, Salty, Sweet" if you don't own it already. It's great.
