bradm
Now that I'm going to The Who @ ACC in Toronto on Monday, Dec. 4 (thanks, phorbesie!), that'll make it possible to see Sisters Euclid @ The Orbit Room afterwards. I'd really like to get a (decent) hotel within stumbling distance (or a cheap cab ride) from The Orbit Room (and if it was on the way from the ACC to The Orbit Room, so much the better), but I can't seem to find much. (The Grange Hotel and The Alexandra Hotel are close, but have received bad reviews; I found a Travelodge on King St. W., but that's a bit out of the way.) Does anybody have and recommendations / hints / suggestions?Aloha,Brad
NewRider
What's wrong with The Alexandra Hotel? That's where we put artists that came to play The Comfort Zone. It's not the nicest room I've stayed in but I don't ever see much point in throwing down an extra $300 for a room that has plants and nicer paint. zero
So do you want the room with or without a 'reacharound'?
Jaimoe
The area isn't the best for hotels. I'd try the Travelodge on King West. It's not too far from The Orbit Room. Travelodge is at King and Bathurst (near The Wheat Sheaf) and The Orbit Room is near Bathurst on College (a few blocks west of Bathurst). So, it's three blocks away, plus the Bathurst streetcar runs all night at $2.75. Both locations are in good areas with some character, especially The Orbit Room which is in Little Italy.
