I found this quote from him

"It's the greatest blessing for me this year being 80. I can't believe the adoration I've received since January. You usually have a birthday and it's a big wonderful day. From January through this moment, on a daily basis, someone has given me a birthday cake and wished me happy birthday," Bennett says. "It's just the most unforgettable year. I want to tell the contemporary artists if they think they're having fun, if they take care of themselves, they won't believe how much fun they're going to have."

Bennett says the best advice he ever got about his career came from legendary drummer Buddy Rich.

"He said they usually say you're only as good as your last show," Bennett says. "But he says you're only as good as your next show. The last one is gone already."
