Great little doc. I got to see that a couple of years ago at a spinoff of the INPUT Festival that we were running at the CBC (celebrates docs brought to you by/produced by public broadcasters from around the world).

There doing another one this week. Send an email to the link in the following info to sign up. It's free!!! The program is a PDF file which I can send to anyone if they want it.

**** BEST OF INPUT 2006 ****

Best of INPUT returns to CBC Toronto on November 29th with a wine and cheese reception at 7 pm followed by a gala screening of La Sierra in CBC Toronto's Glenn Gould Theatre.

Director Margarita Martinez of Colombia will be on hand to talk about how she created this amazing documentary that manages to tell the story of life, love, money and drugs among members of an urban gang in Medellin. The film was broadcast in Colombia in prime time and resulted in huge ratings and an intense public debate. CBC INPUT Steward David Studer will moderate and Steward Heaton Dyer will present an episode of a format breaking program from Australia.

Then on Thursday, join us at noon for a screening of the award winning doc Brain Damadj'd Take II. Grab your lunch and ask Director Paul Nadler about the brave decision to tell the story of his fight to reclaim his life. Nadler woke up from a deep coma and has not stopped since! Screenwriter/Director Jonathan Finkelstein will also be on hand - fresh from winning the Grand Prix Japan prize for this amazing film.

Friday's the day when we will start screening world class documentaries at 10 am. Check out films from Brazil, Spain, Australia and Denmark. Moncia Schmiedt - director of Southern Extreme will take your questions at noon. Her film tells the story of five mountain climbers who agree to be filmed as they prepped to climb Monte Sarmiento. See how the crew handles an ending they never imagined. Screenings end at 6 pm Friday.

So how do you get in? RSVP to Best of Input at bestofinput@cbc.ca . If possible, please let us know if you will be attending the Gala; and/or Thursday or Friday sessions.

All registered guests will be admitted free of charge to screenings. Information on checking in once you get to CBC Toronto to follow.
