  1. Shocked and saddened. Bradm was one of the friendliest and and most welcoming people I've been blessed to have met. He introduced me to a ton of new people and to a ton of new music. And he was happy to do it. It was a big part of who he was and what he did. He will be dearly missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

To be honest, at this point, I think Reebok ( at least the folks in Montreal) are simply wondering if there's a way we can work together to one another's benefit. They want to highlight their brand and I want to sell books. Bouche by all means PM me. Doesn't matter if the idea is well-formed or half-baked :content:

Thanks for the suggestions folks. Unfortunately, Yours Truly, I don't suspect Reebok is much into bicycle design since they simply licence the CCM name to Canadian Tire. I may well take take up your suggestion with them however. Kooky: I haven't yet got any books to Sean, but will. Thanks for the courier offer. (James is actually my son - we just both happen to share a great liking for Dan & the Regrets.) rustle: I will be in touch. Thanks for the kinds words and excellent suggestions Phishtaper. I will certainly speak to them about the coupon/code idea. It's a good one.

Help. I need some advice. A year ago when I published the book on CCM I contacted Reebok (they own the rights to the name) to see if they'd be willing to help promote it. I heard nothing. Then yesterday I get this note from one of their matketing people wondering what I had in mind. Funny thing is I didn't have anything in mind. Now I'm wondering how I should respond. Does anyone have a great marketing idea/concept that I can pitch to them? Or should I just leave it open and request a meeting to discuss it? Not sure what to do, but I know it's an opportunity I don't really want to blow.
  5. Good eye Devo. James recorded the album (as he did the latest from Cuff the Duke) and as D Funk points out is now helping the boys out on bass.
  6. Thanks very much. It will be on its way shortly.
  7. ah yes it's that time of year Ollie. Actually after I posted it, I realized maybe I should have been in Rich Stadium.
  8. but hey there's snow on the ground where I live (Perth, ON). Hoping if you've got a cycling enthusiast, hockey fanatic or history buff on your list this year, you'll consider giving them the CCM story (or hell put it on your own list). Bikes in summer and skates in winter, few companies dominated the Canadian landscape the way CCM once did. Tells how it all began (and how it all ended). CCM Story Thanks for thinking about it. Gotta go shovel...
  9. I did indeed. Tried a couple of times on kijiji, but was too late on both occasions. Come around six I decided to visit the Centrepointe Theatre website (which I had done earlier to no avail) and bingo! scored two orchestra seats. They must release these a couple of hours before the show. Loved it. Prine is a legend and so he should be.
  10. Long shot.....but anyone have tickets for tonight they need to unload???

Thanks, Dave. As you probably know, nationally Chapters will not deal directly with an author, only a publishing or distribution company that already has an account with them. That was why I wondered if the local outlets had the autonomy to stock what they wanted or had to go through head office for everything. Based on what you've said, I'll certainly contact the Ottawa stores since, in part, it's a fundraiser for an Ottawa organization.
