Ladybird Sideshow @ PJC (Hamilton) 12/12

Attention Hamilton folks: if you like good singer/songwriter music, and great female singing/harmonies, be at Pepper Jack Cafe on Tuesday, Dec. 12, to see Ladybird Sideshow (which includes Janine Stoll; a couple of live recordings of her trio are available here). Ben Somer is the opening act, and I've never heard of him, but Ladybird is an act I've been wanting to see for a while; if I were in Hamilton tomorrow night, I'd be there.

Well, I haven't seen Ladybird Sideshow (yet), but, after seeing Janine Stoll (and buying her latest album, "This Is Where We Bury It"), and hearing her do a Ladybird tune or two (e.g., Melissa McLelland's "Scarlet"), I really want to. (I found out about Janine Stoll through her association with Mr. Something Something.)

I chanced upon the listing for this gig when I went to Janine Stoll's website, in hopes she was doing a gig in Toronto over the holidays (which she isn't, at least not yet), so figured it'd be a good idea to post it.

Damn, I always seem to miss these gals. I've been wanting to catch them for so long. Alas, both Todd and I are at home right now with the stomach flu, so we'll spare the rest of you and unfortunately pass...
