AdamH
The piece in last Saturday's Globe and Mail was insightful and I feel a bit more reassured. But as trite as it would seem to say it I think his Frenglish is a major stumbling block in securing the PM role.

AdamH
That was an expected response. Chretien's English sounds like beautiful prose next to Dion's. AND Chretien had facial paralysis to contend with!Chretien's charisma also made his Frenglish easier to understand/absorb.
Hux
Not so sure they're that far apart on the english actually and I think Dion chooses more advanced language than Chretien does (JC gets a nod on the charisma end). On the french, people used to say JC mangled both languages, whereas Dion's french is superb, no question there he tops Chretien, and he wears glasses.
