Tool Update - No Bonnaroo (?)

Bad news, folks. It's been a few weeks since we heard that Danny had torn a muscle in his arm - causing Tool to postpone their spring tour - and now it seems that he is not recovering on schedule. A press release from the band's management will be out tomorrow, but we got a look at advance look at it today. We can't post the whole thing until they officially release it, but we wanted to give you the heads-up that it does include such phrases as "will remain on hiatus indefinitely" and "all tour dates postponed again." Yikes.

Just from reading it, it sounds as though Danny may have to undergo further surgery before he'll have a shot at regaining full strength in his arm. That, combined with recent statements by all four of the band that it "wouldn't be right of us" to continue before Danny returns to 100%, may actually be a lot more ominous for the future of Tool than previously imagined. Keep your fingers crossed that this does not spell the end of Tool as we know it.

Sorry but I do believe that Relix took the cake on Lamest Joke Ever:

As per Relix:

"Members of Phish and the Grateful Dead have teamed up to form a new supergroup. Former Phish drummer Marc Daubert and early Phish guitarist Jeff Holdsworth will join forces with original Grateful Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten as the all-star group the Blackwood Warlock Convention featuring members of Phish and the Grateful Dead. The trio will offer a mix of material from both group’s canons. Blackwood Warlock Convention, featuring members of Phish and the Grateful Dead, will perform at the Grateful Dead Family Gathering, hookahville, and Schwagstock 35-41."
