Kanada Kev
larry,Sorry, i don't really have an answer for ya. I remember reading about this at some point when i was trying to get an understanding of how it all worked. Conversion from one form to another seems to be a difficult process (but i'm sure it's easy for somebody )Have you ever tried playing a DTS cd in you player? If you watch a DVD movie, can you hear the audio if you choose a DTS soundtrack? DTS is wayyyyy more common on players than DVD-A. Give 'er a try. Otherwise, you may want to get a new DVD player (one that will decode DTS as well as DivX).
larry_llama
Well the dvd player will spit out a digital dts stream but the receiver needs to be able to decode it... I think I found a workaround though. The problem is I gave my dts-capable receiver away when I inherited a slightly older (but vastly superior) yamaha receiver which unfortunately lacks dts support.
