It is our hopethat individuals and organizations who are not normally in contact with each other will connect and be inspired to embark on new projects oftransformation. The Festival will also reassert our presence on the streets of Hamiltonand take back the original history of Mayday. The festival will enable us to connect with the struggles of previous movements and bring awareness tothe struggles of today and the possibilities for progressive change.Mayday also brings us together to celebrate progressive culture and the many talents existing in our community. Through the street festival wewill create another world for a day – a place where we can live out thepossibilities normally silenced by classist, racist, militaristic and patriarchal society.
