jazzinfivefour
For those interested,... Last night went off wonderfully. We arrived to find a farmers dozen of 80+ seniors awaiting the music. The band was a tad taken aback until we agreed that no shame would be had in frightening them with strange sounds. We through in a few old fashioned standards and they tapped away & smilied. Then room began to fill up and within 45min the space was full with a good crowd. For the second set, we dug deep into the improv and left the standards behind.Everyone seemed to have a blast!
