AD
Has anyone been to the Jacques Cartier Pier venue in Montreal for a show? Am curious to know what it is like, specifically if it is reserved seating or general admission.
DevO
If you're getting that from the Pitchfork news piece, I took it as a joke, along with the other jokes in the dates:09-21 Montreal, British Columbia - Jacques Cartier Pier09-24 New York, NY - Madison Square Cargden
AD
it's listed like that at pitchfork because bjork released the dates with a typo - Montreal BC instead of QC. The date is real though and not a joke. The Pier is apparently where they do Canada Day, Reggae Festival, and Cirque du Soliel. I'm assuming it's general admission but am still wondering if anyone can confirm or tell more about the place. I've found the location and it's on a quay sticking out into the harbour, looks like a sweet place for a show.
AD
i think i've answered my own question about seating or GA... when this image was taken they were either setting up or tearing down a large outdoor show. you can see a stage at the eastern end of the pier, the soundboard, and lots of vendors off to the sides. definitely is general admission.
