i like Jose Reyes in the NL. the guy has everything - he hits for average, he'll steal 60 - 70 bases, put up a good homerun total, and plays great D. he bats leadoff and brings incredible energy to the game - he'll leg out a single, then steal 2nd and put himself in position to score - or, he'll get it goin home to first and turn the single into a double on a sleeping outfielder. i think he's easily the best player in the NL. he gives a potent mets offense a chance to score a run right off the bat, everytime.

Fielder will probably win, though, if his numbers keep up - the power numbers usually get the mvp honours.

in the AL maggs is a good choice for sure. but there's the A-Rod factor. he's probably the only reason the yanks arent further down, and once that team finally does get rollin', he'll be a big part of it and those numbers are just gonna get more disgusting.

how bout cy youngs?

sabathia vs beckett vs haren in the AL? what about putz?

no one's really standing out for me in the NL as a clear-cut favourite, though there are some good pitchers.. i like Harang as a dark horse, though.. he's won 10 games so far on a team thats blown nearly 20 saves, who knows how many of those were his wins lost. his stuff is wicked, he gets a lot of strikeouts, eats up innings, and keeps his era down around 3, which isnt mind boggling, but its pretty good considering he plays in great american ballpark.
