rubberdinghy Posted August 7, 2007 Report Share Posted August 7, 2007 re the whole Penner thing....If Edmonton had say, 3 1st round picks. 2 in the 2nd and 4 in the third, due to trades, would Anahiem get all 9 of the picks?Also, what if Edmonton didn't have any 1st round picks...would they be allowed to make and offer sheet? Guest Low Roller Posted August 7, 2007 Report Share Posted August 7, 2007 From what I understand a team needs to have their original three picks to make an offer sheet, which is why Edmonton traded to get one of their picks BACK after trading it. Guest Low Roller Posted August 7, 2007 Report Share Posted August 7, 2007 Here we go:February 18, 2007 - Defenceman Marc-Andre Bergeron was traded with a 2008 3rd round draft pick to the New York Islanders for defenceman Denis Grebeshkov.July 5th, 2007 - Allan Rourke Acquired with 2008 3rd-rd pick for 2008 2nd-rd pick to NY Islanders.
