The Chameleon
This is tyhe problem with Nugent. Love his guitar playing (Damn Yankees Excluded) but I can't stand his politics...Even if these are replicas in this day and age I can't beleive he was not arrested. He did utter threats and I promise you if any of us went crusing around with machine gun replicas we would be taken in for questioning ASAP.Shut up and play yer guitar TED! phishtaper
personally, i have no issues with nugent. never liked his music, never liked his politics. always thought of him as a throw-away. fwiw, i was joking about them being replicas. i have a creepy feeling they are real ... and there are a few deer carcases in a parking lot in Anaheim ... Kanada Kev
Nugent is a joke. What makes me laugh, are that most likely the people that are all for his rhetoric in this video are the same damn people who were spouting off about the Dixie Chicks. It's not OK for the Chicks to exercise their freedom of speech and say what they want to on stage, but it's a-ok for Mr. Nugent speaking.Personally, i don't have an issue with him spouting this tripe at his concerts. Let him. I'm just astounded that there are people who think that this guy is cool. Edited August 28, 2007 by Guest

Kanada Kev
Facing a draft, Nugent bravely wet his pantsRocker is all talk as he calls Obama, Hillary vile namesAugust 27, 2007BY RICHARD ROEPER Sun-Times ColumnistSo Ted Nugent roams a concert stage while toting automatic weapons, calls Barack Obama "a piece of -----" and says he told Obama to suck on one of his machine-guns. He also calls Hillary Clinton a "worthless bitch" and Dianne Feinstein a "worthless whore."That Nugent, he's a man's man. He talks the talk and walks the walk, right?Except when it was time to register for the draft during the Vietnam era. By his own admission, Nugent stopped all forms of personal hygiene for a month and showed up for his draft board physical in pants caked with his own urine and feces, winning a deferment. Creative!Ah, but that was a long time ago. Nugent isn't just a washed-up rocker -- he's a right-wing madman who's not afraid to call out some of the leading Democrats in language so vile it makes the Dixie Chick Natalie Maines' comments about President Bush sound like a love poem. You'd think even someone such as Sean Hannity would dismiss Nugent as a macho clown, desperate for attention.Yeah, right. In a discussion on his show last week, Hannity refused to condemn Nugent's remarks, saying, "I like Ted Nugent . . . he's a friend of mine," and even laughing loudly as Alan Colmes read the transcript of some of Nugent's remarks.Funny. I don't remember Hannity being so cavalier about the Dixie Chicks went they criticized Bush. Not that he's operating under a double standard or anything.
